For the second year, Sadie went to day camp at Sky Ranch:
She went last year & loved it so much that it was at the top of her list for summer requests. We talked a lot about activities & camps this summer, but I registered her for this last February, as soon as registration opened so she has been patiently waiting. Last year she went with several girlfriends but Kenzie went a different week so they were so excited to go together this year:
I talked a lot about it last year so I'll try not to again but I will say that she had a blast! Of course they are there all day without us so I shouldn't have any pictures, but they do an awesome job of taking pictures during the week & posting them on their website so I had fun checking every day & seeing action shots of her with her friends:
They had bible studies, danced, played games, went on a zip line, played in bounce houses, rode water slides, played in a foam pit & so much more!
On their last day, they had a closing ceremony just like last year where we got to go & watch them do some performances & meet their counselors & their friends:
So I have 2 extra notes I have to add. On the first day of camp, Sadie pulled out her top front tooth so that was a fun surprise:
It had been loose for a while & we spent the entire trip to Galveston trying to pull it out & then she goes to camp & it just happens. Go figure!
Also, Sadie has been begging to go to overnight camp at Sky Ranch. She has loved the launch camp, but she is definitely brave enough & independent enough to go by herself for a week & since next year she will be in 2nd grade, we went ahead & signed her up. Eeek! I still can't believe we did that but technically we have until April if she changes her mind. I doubt she will, but it will also be weird because Sophie will be old enough for Launch Camp so I will have both girls at week long camps. Seriously, they have got to stop growing up! But in all honestly, we have been so impressed with Sky Ranch & heard nothing but rave reviews from everyone we know with older children so I am glad the girls found somewhere they can go to have fun & learn more about God. It's a win win in my book!
