We'll kick off this week's photo dump from pictures of our 4th of July holiday week. On Sunday afternoon, we almost always go out to eat lunch after church but this time we surprised the girls & took them to the new movie theater that opened by our house. We had lunch while watching Incredibles II & they thought it was so much fun:
I loved that is was early matinee pricing & wasn't crowded!
On July 3rd, we surprised the girls & took them to a Roughrider's baseball game. Since it was the eve of an American holiday, they passed out flags at the game & had fireworks afterwards:
While Sadie was at Sky Ranch the week before, Sophie went to gymnastics camp with a few of her friends & she loved going back to gymnastics!
She also had a birthday party one afternoon so while I took her, Bryan & Sadie had a date. Of course they ended up at Bahama Bucks:
The girls & I created a summer bucket list before summer even started & we've done a pretty good job of marking items off our list. One of the things on there was spending the day at the mall. I knew there were a lot of free stuff we could do on a random day with nothing going on, so we finally went. They both had gift cards to Barnes & Noble so they had fun going on a shopping spree & picking out whatever they want:
Bryan said this picture fits them to a T right now - Sadie picked a craft kit on making slime & Sophie picked a Barbie doll. Thanks Natalie!
Another item on our list was going to hibachi. Sadie really wanted to go to the restaurant where they have fire:
Sadie LOVED it but Sophie did not. She actually stood in the corner crying for a while until Bryan made her come back & sit in her lap.
We also had Sadie's final regular season swim meet last weekend. She rocked it. Again. She swam 2 individual races & her first relay:
They won first place also as a team so that was exciting! She has enjoyed meeting new friends this summer & they have fun hanging out & playing cards between swims at the meets:
I volunteered earlier in the season so Bryan volunteered this time & he got to be a timer down by the water - so he got to see all the action! He even timed one of Sadie's races:
Later that evening, Bryan surprised me & booked a babysitter so we could go out. While I was getting ready, Sophie wanted to get him ready so she did his make up for our date:
Can you see the pink lip gloss all over his face? Too bad he showered before we went out!
That's it for now - the girls have been at hip hop camp all week & Sadie has a regional swim meet this weekend so I'll have updates on both of those soon.
