We started our Father's Day celebrations early this year since we were all together on Saturday. After Sophie's recital, we took the grandparents out to eat in Dallas at The Rustic:
Bryan wanted to try somewhere new & we had a fun time even though it was a little more than we expected. We knew they had live music but thought it started later Saturday evening. We figured we were safe going Saturday afternoon, but instead we were greeted with live music & dancing. Fun entertainment but it was a little loud. And probably not the most appropriate singing & dancing for the kids :( The food was delicious & our favorite part, might have been dessert:
We might have ordered 1 of everything & I couldn't tell you which one was my favorite because they were all so good!
The next morning, we went to church & Bryan was treated to Dr. Pepper, Root Beer & Bacon. All you can eat bacon. Sounds crazy, but it was kind of a fun for the dads:
After church, we took Bryan to Fireside Pies, which has kind of been a Father's Day tradition since it is one of his favorites:
I had only planned lunch but since we were close to Kilwin's, he wanted to go get ice cream. No complaints from us - after all, it was his special day but who doesn't love ice cream?!
I mean seriously, when he said ice cream, he wasn't joking. He got a waffle bowl with 4 scoops! After that, we went home & had a lazy Sunday afternoon.
Hope you had a wonderful Father's Day, Bryan! I know the girls & I are thankful for you every single day, but we still have fun taking a day to spoil you :)
