Kids Supporting Kids

I know I have talked on here before about the organization I work with every week called Fastpacs. I go to the warehouse every Wednesday afternoon after school with the girls to pick up my packs & then every Thursday I deliver them to schools while my girls are at their school. It is a great organization & I am thankful to be a part of it so I was excited when they had an event for children last week. Usually they have groups from the community pack the bags every week but this time they thought it would be fun for the kids to do it. When we first got there, they had everyone make inspiration notes:

Just cute little notes that can say anything you want. They put a note in every bag. Then the kids got to head outside to learn how to pack:

They let the little ones go first. We had to help them since they can't read yet, but every bag has the same number of items in it including, fruit, veggies, meat, snacks, etc. Once they finished packing, they added an inspiration note & then took it to the delivery truck:

Sophie worked so hard & had the biggest smile on her face! I really enjoyed watching her in action. Sadie had fun too but of course she thought she had to be the fastest at everything:

The weather was perfect & they had bounce houses for the kids to play in when they finished. But the best part might have been the pizza food truck & ice cream sundaes they surprised us with! It was a fun evening & I am so glad the girls got to be a part of it. It's still hard to believe that we deliver almost 800 of these bags every single week.
