Bryan had to go to St. Petersburg, Florida for work this week & luckily I got to tag along:
I always say that I hate being gone on the weekend because the girls have so much going on but during the week I feel like a glorified chauffeur driver so I have no problem letting one of the grandparents take care of the girls :)
We flew in early Monday morning to Tampa & when I say early, I mean early. Leave the house at 4:30 am for a 6:00 flight kind of early. So when we got there, we spent the day being lazy & resting before Justin & his wife Krystal got there. That night, we went out on a double date:
Our hotel was in a great location right on the marina & close to beach drive where we could walk to a ton of restaurants & shops. While Bryan & I were out on Monday for lunch, we found an awesome chocolate shop so we skipped dessert at the restaurant & went there afterwards:
I am not exaggerating when I say we probably went there at least 5 times in 3 days!
The next morning Dave flew in & we all met up for breakfast while the guys worked:
Then Krystal & I spent the day exploring. We had a lot of awesome walking/running trails around our hotel in front of the marina:
Then Justin drove us over to Clearwater Beach:
We couldn't go to Florida & not visit the beach, right?! It was a beautiful day but don't let the sun fool you - it was pretty chilly out there! The sand was so pretty & felt great, but the water was too cold. We had fun picking seashells to bring home for the girls:
That night the guys had a business dinner so we had a girl's night. We had a wonderful dinner at Bellabrava & then we went to the movies:
We thought it would be fun to do something we don't get to normally do with the girls. And there wasn't much of a night life in St. Pete's - it is definitely an older crowd! And wouldn't you know, we ended up at Kilwins again:
On Wednesday, the guys presented at a business luncheon & while I was walking back from the gym, I just happened to see them:
The trip was mostly business for them, but I had a great time! Just being able to sleep in, go shopping, work out & have a few nice meals without children was great. Thanks Bryan for letting me tag along!
