We had awesome weather this week. It was still cool in the mornings & at night, but the afternoons were great so we spent a lot of time outside after school. We had a friend over for a play date one afternoon & the girls played in the backyard:
then they rode bikes & scooters out front. They walked down to a neighbor's house another day & jumped on their new trampoline:
and one afternoon they finally played basketball! Hadley came over & they shot baskets for at least an hour. So glad they are finally getting to use it! When it cooled off they came inside to play & Hadley helped Sadie with her homework. It was so cute watching Sadie read to her!
Yesterday I volunteered at the school all morning & then I stayed to have lunch with Sadie. It just so happened that Lena was visiting that day also so we all got to have lunch together:
That night was Family Heritage Night at the school, which is why I was volunteering all morning. It was the first year they held it & they had an awesome turn out! They had scheduled performances all night for dances, fashion shows, music, etc. But they also had tables set up for different countries, all of which we were set up by families from Pink regarding their heritage. The girls were given passports & got a stamp for every country they visited. They loved the game but Bryan loved all the food!
That was visiting Sweden & this was the selfie station in India:
Sadie had fun running into all of her friends:
and doing yoga with them in the gym:
Sophie even had fun doing yoga with all her friends - all of her future Pink kindergarten friends!
This morning we went to Good Morning Pink & again, Sophie had fun seeing some of her friends who will join her in a few years:
Well, it doesn't look like she is enjoying it here! For some reason she doesn't like it when it gets too loud up there. We got an email earlier in the week from Sadie's teacher that she was getting another award but it was a surprise so we were so excited to be there. When they called her name, she looked right at us & her teacher and her expression was priceless!
She already won an award the first month of school so I don't think she expected to win again. Last time she won the character award for having a growth mindset & this time she won the Happy Camper Award:
We could not be any prouder of her!
After GMP, Sophie & I hit up the gym & then headed to the library. I have to admit that I used to take Sadie to the library often but I haven't been as good about taking Sophie. We went to story time, then she played in the learning to read play area before we rented books:
We had such a fun morning together & it was free! I am going to try to do a better job of taking her more often this spring :)
