Ok friends, I know I took a week off from blogging but you know what that means - we were gone on vacation! Not a first for our family, but a first vacation wise - we took our first winter vacation! I am slowly catching up & getting ready for Christmas so I won't have time to write about that until next week, but of course I a few other things to write about.
The day before we left, was the last day of school & Sadie's class had their winter party. I volunteered to set up the party & then I helped at the snack table. The room mom did a great job & organized a snowman snack that I got to help the kids make:
Since I was helping, I didn't really get to watch her do much else, but I know they did a few crafts, launched snowballs & turned their friends into a snowman:
That day was bittersweet because Sadie was excited for winter break but she was sad because it was her best friend, Avery's last day. She is the tiny one in the pictures below:
She is the cutest little thing - she is literally half of everyone else's size :) Sadie & her quickly bonded & we heard about her every single day, but unfortunately, her family moved to Utah over the holidays. I know she will be missed by Sadie & all of their other friends in Mrs. Dunham's class!
While we were at the school, I saw Sadie's turkey hanging up:
One of their projects before Thanksgiving was to decorate a turkey & hide him in a disguise. Sadie worked so hard on it & that's hers in the middle with the orange glitter background.
It was a fun afternoon & I am so glad I had the opportunity to not only be at her party, but to help out:
