Friday was Sadie's birthday & she turned 6. Did you hear me? Did I just say that right? She is 6! Now that she is in school, it's kind of fun having your birthday on a Friday :) She woke up that morning & Ellie surprised her with her birthday outfit & book:
We also had her special plate out & she got a post card from her camp counselors at Sky Ranch. What a fun surprise! She wanted to open presents right away & since she got up early we had time:
We got her a new indoor basketball & her first official bible. She has several kid bibles that are more like books, but now that she is learning to read, we figure she was ready for her first bible. I knew it was a sentimental gift & not a fun gift, so she wasn't exactly thrilled about it but hopefully she will appreciate it when she is older.
After breakfast, she was ready for school:
They had Good Morning Pink so we went with her & she had her birthday hat on when we got there:
Then we turned around & went up there again for lunch. She requested McDonald's, which wouldn't have been my first choice, but hey, it's her birthday so whatever she wants!
And we had a special visitor join us:
So sweet of Nanny to join us! Unfortunately that night Bryan & I had a Christmas party so we didn't celebrate that evening, but they had free childcare at the church & the girls always think that's fun. But we made up for it the next day when we had their birthday party. More to come on that!
