Our life has gotten so predictable lately so I am sure these pictures look just like the ones I posted last Monday since our weekend was all about soccer. My father in law took a picture of the soccer moms:
A few things to note about this. Saturday was the first time both of the girls had games at the exact same time - 8:00. So Bryan & I got both of the girls up, ready & fed but then we headed in different directions. He took Sophie since he coaches her & I took Sadie. Some of these moms had to do the same thing. Also, notice we all have on sweaters, jackets & long sleeves - a first for the season! It actually felt pretty good out there but was chilly in the 60's since our mornings have been in the 80's.
Another funny comment, our soccer team has always been well represented among the college teams & we talk a lot about college football this time of year so my father in law made a comment about all of our chairs:
We just needed Julianne to round out our team with her Baylor chair!
Saturday night, our neighborhood had a fall concert outside & it was the perfect night. They catered food & sno cones and then the kids ran/played/danced the night away:
I love that our neighborhood has regular social activities like this so we can visit with our neighbors :)
Finally, we decorated our house for Halloween almost 2 weeks ago, but we finally started our Halloween countdown calendar yesterday:
You know me, the thrifty shopper that I am, I found the girls matching Halloween nightgowns last year after the holiday on sale so I hung them up to surprise them yesterday. For some reason, Sadie thinks that we have a ghost in our house & the ghost brought them their pajamas! Let's just say I played around with it because she was so in to it :)
I also surprised them with pumpkin cinnamon rolls & had out our Halloween dishes to eat on:
Holidays are so fun with children in the house!
On the way to church we had another surprise because most of our neighborhood decorated over the weekend so there were blow ups, skeletons & ghosts everywhere! It was fun seeing it all but then sweet Sophie asked Sadie to hold her hand because I think it made her a little scared:
Sweet sisters! Bring on October, because this family is ready!
