We celebrated Halloween early this year by attending the fall festival at church on Sunday afternoon/evening. The girls were excited to finally wear their costumes, but we didn't really fix their hair & I wouldn't let Sadie wear her boots. We couldn't spoil everything for the big day!
Introducing this year's picks: Pocahontas & Super Girl!
As soon as we got there, we hit up all of the big activities in the parking lot starting with the rock climbing wall:
and the electric bull ride:
Love that picture of her falling off! Obviously Sadie loved all of the big activities but Sophie wasn't interested. Instead she waited in line patiently to get her face painted:
Of course when Sadie heard about this, she had to get her face painted too:
Eventually we headed inside to where all of the pre-school games were. Every single classroom had a game & the girls loved playing all of them! They loved it even more when they got candy afterwards :)
It was hilarious watching them try to get the cookie into their mouth from their forehead:
Sadie kept wiggling her tongue around like that was going to help! Ha! Eventually we got hungry & headed outside for dinner. We saw lots of friends all night but everyone was coming & going in different directions so we only got pictures with a few:
Bryan volunteered for the last shift of the night at the zip line & Sadie loved it so much she probably rode it at least 5 times:
Once it got dark & cool outside, Sophie went back inside to the pre-school area & had fun bouncing in the bounce houses & going down the slide with her friends:
It ended up being the perfect evening for a fall festival outside. And we had an extra surprise because my parents came to visit this weekend so they got to watch the girls in action also:
Let the candy hunt begin! Only 2 more weeks until Halloween!
