We had another lazy weekend around the house & I couldn't have enjoyed it more! For the second weekend in a row, we were able to sleep in, cook a big brunch & eat outside by the pool. That's the advantage of soccer season being over! I was doing laundry & cleaning up the kitchen while Bryan & Sadie decided to play a game. Sophie decided she would dig through the basket of shoes we keep downstairs & I couldn't help but laugh when we discovered her wearing Sadie's cleats:
Bryan spent the day with the girls swimming in the hot tub:
While I spent the day in the yard:
I went shopping that morning & finished buying all of the soil & flowers needed to finish planting my pots around the house. After 3 long Saturdays spent cleaning & working outside, I am finally finished. Now maybe I can hang out in the pool with the rest of the family!
That night, we were invited to our neighbor's house to help her celebrate her 40th birthday. She really set the bar high because it was a great party! I couldn't help but take a few pictures of her cake & one of the flower arrangements because she had fresh flowers everywhere & they were beautiful:
Happy Birthday Daniela! We really lucked out to have such great friends as neighbors!
On Sunday morning on the way home from church I looked in the back seat & saw this:
Apparently Sophie has discovered a new way to wear headbands.
After quiet time, Sadie wanted to play games again:
She is really into Bingo & Candyland right now. When Sophie woke up from her nap, we went for a family bike ride along the new trails in our neighborhood:
I say bike ride. Sadie used to ride with Sophie in the trailer but she is beyond that. We usually let her ride her bike to the park then we park it & she jumps in the trailer but this time she asked if she could ride her scooter. Let me tell you, she is way faster on the scooter & that girl never gets tired. She rode it all the way to Bahama Bucks:
She easily rode 3 or 4 miles! But this was the perfect place to stop & take a break. And the perfect ending to a perfect weekend :)
