Autumn at the Arboretum 2015

Our friend has a membership to the Dallas Arboretum so she invited us to go visit pumpkin village. Unfortunately, our October calendar is pretty full, so we went last Friday. Of course it was in the mid nineties outside, so we let the kids wear their bathing suits & we started our morning at the Children's garden where they played in all of the water fountains. Eventually, we made our way to the other side:

We make a trip the Arboretum every fall & it never disappoints. Apparently this year they had over 75,000 pumpkins! But only in Texas will you find pictures of kids with their bathing suits on while playing in the pumpkins:

I knew this would be our only trip so I tried to take a few pictures of the girls. This was their diva poses:

They kind of had a western thing going throughout the patch & the girls thought these signs were funny:

They also found the pumpkin carriage:

Even though it was hot, it was nice because it wasn't crowded & the girls loved it. Hopefully we will be able to stop by a pumpkin patch in the next month or so & I can actually get a picture of the girls in their fall outfits. But I will always remember the time we spent in the pumpkins in our bathing suits! Thanks for inviting us Julieanne:
