Hula Hut

If you have ever been to Austin, you have probably heard of the Hula Hut. I had heard rumors a long time ago that they were actually opening a Hula Hut by us in Little Elm but I never really thought it was true, until I saw that it opened last week:

I met some of the women from my MOPS group there last night for our monthly mom's night out. We sat on the patio for a couple hours enjoying the view & our conversations. It is amazing how enjoyable a 3 hour dinner can be when you don't have toddlers with you :) Since it's new, there was a 45 minute wait, but it was worth it. We waited on the patio overlooking Lake Lewisville:

Technically, that's a little man made lake in front where the swans are but that is Lake Lewisville behind it. Their food is good, but honestly, it's mostly the atmosphere. Can you see the fake dolphins jumping in the background? With the boat washed upon shore? And that volcano - it actually erupts with water spilling everywhere while it lights up. I will definitely be returning with the girls. They would love to sit out on the patio too:

If you have a seat on the other side of the restaurant, it overlooks Hydrous Wakeboarding Park, so that would be fun to watch also. I am so excited to have a fun restaurant just minutes away from our house & even more excited that I got to try it out with a few girlfriends last night:
