Made of Sugar & Spice

As soon as we checked out of Great Wolf Lodge, our busy weekend continued. We headed straight to downtown McKinney for a birthday party at:

 

Since birthday season is upon us, I have heard about this place a lot. It is a fairly new venue but we already have 2 parties there this month. It is the perfect place for little girls who like to dress up. Kenzie chose the Frozen theme so they played the soundtrack from Frozen & she was dressed like Elsa. The rest of the girls also got to choose a princess dress & then they took turns getting ready. They got their makeup & hair done:

 

 

Somehow they were able to pull Sadie's hair up but they had to spray a lot of hairspray & even that didn't help, because by the time we left, it had already fallen :( They also got their nails painted & Sadie chose blue to go with the Elsa theme:

 

 

While the girls were taking turns with hair & nails, they had a jewelry station set up:

 

 

She made herself a bracelet & then decided that she needed to make Sophie one because it wasn't fair that she didn't get to be there. So sweet!

 

They also had karaoke with pretend microphones:

 

 

The girl in the pink dress was really belting it out, while Sadie was kind of pretend singing :)

 

After all of the girls were ready, they lined the catwalk & had a dance party. Some of the bigger girls taught them the moves & they tried to follow along:

 

 

Then they had a fashion show. All of the girls hid behind the curtain & walked out one at a time. Sadie started strong & about half way through she ran to me! I think she was a little shy because this was one of those parties where she only knew the birthday girl & no one else. Speaking of, here is the birthday girl, Kenzie, strutting her stuff down the catwalk:

 

 

All of her friends met her at the end of the runway & they took a group photo:

 

 

In case you can't find Sadie, she is hiding in the middle behind that big bouquet of flowers. Finally they got to settle down for pizza & cupcakes. Sadie asked me to take a picture because she was so excited she got an Elsa cupcake:
