Punta Cana by Night

One big difference in traveling with your girlfriends vs. traveling with your family, is you actually have a night life :) Most of the time we are going out to eat at 6:00 or 6:30 with the girls and this time we were just coming in from the beach around that time. By the time we made it to dinner, it was 7:30 - 8:00. There were 3 other restaurants so we enjoyed Hibachi:

Who knew Japanese would be so good in the Dominican? So good that I had 3 desserts that night! I'm not going to lie, since it was all inclusive, I may have ordered multiple appetizers & desserts at all of the restaurants :)

We also had Italian:

and French:

All of the restaurants were pretty dark so they had these menus that lit up when you opened them. It kind of reminded me of a tanning bed! We got spoiled at the French restaurant because it was our last night there & they served everyone lobster (off the menu) & they brought us out our own private birthday cake. Such a fun surprise!

After dinner every night we went to the nightly show. They were over the top cheesy but made us laugh. Definitely worth the entertainment! And then we headed over to the disco to dance the night away:

I'm not gonna lie, I have not danced like that in a long time! One night we even worked up an appetite & headed to the buffet for some pizza around 2:00 in the morning :) Why not, it's all inclusive, remember?!

We took a few pictures on Deb's last night because she had to leave one day early:

The middle picture is my friend Emily - we grew up together & then reconnected after college. Now we go to church together & our girls are the same age.

The bottom picture is Deb & Destin - two of my favorite girls from my college days. Deb (on the left) was actually my roommate most of the time.

Of course we had to have another photo shoot on our last night there:

Love how tan we are all! Unfortunately, the next day we had to go home:

As much fun as we had, I think all of us were ready to see our husbands & our children. We are so grateful to our hubbies for letting us take the time to ourselves & hopefully we came home recharged. I could not have asked for a better trip - the weather was perfect, the resort was beautiful, the food was delicious, but most of all I enjoyed some time away with some of my closest girlfriends!
