I celebrated my first Mother's Day yesterday with both of my girls & it couldn't have been more perfect! We didn't do much, in fact we spent the day just the four of us. I'm not going to lie, I did try to coordinate my outfit with the girls because I wanted a good picture since we didn't get any at Easter:
In case you are wondering what Sadie is holding, that would be the home made card she made for me! Actually, Bryan started it & then Sadie finished it by coloring all over it. I thought it was perfect & have it sitting right here on my desk so I can look at it every day :)
Church was even more special. They had a moment before the sermon where the kids were invited to the stage & they had a children's church for the kids about their moms. Sadie was so excited to go up there - this was the first time she did it. We didn't even have to ask her - she just got up & ran up there! Doesn't she look adorable sitting there with the other kids?!
That only lasted a few minutes because then she did this:
Yep, that's right. She ran straight back to us & pulled my hand saying "Go, Mommy!" Apparently, she wanted me to come up there & sit with her. I was a little embarrassed to go straight to the front, so we kind of went to the side of the stage where some other parents were sitting with their children:
It was the sweetest moment of the day & one I will never forget. After that, Bryan took his ladies to lunch & then I got to go shopping at the nursery while the girls napped. We ended the day working in the yard & playing outside. I bought a new hibiscus plant as my Mother's Day treat to myself, so we will see if it survives!
