I know you are probably thinking about real firecrackers since it is Memorial Day weekend, but I am talking about this little girl:
She is a firecracker! See that expression/smile on her face - that's what I see most of the time! It doesn't take much to make her happy! She is an easy-going baby. I tell everyone she has to be. She just rolls with the flow while we are taking Sadie everywhere. And she is so used to all of the noise & chaos - that's what comes with being the little sister :)
But she is definitely busy. Sadie was always the easiest baby. She would just lay there when I changed her diapers & this girl is squirming all around. I think I even mentioned on my blog before that she has tried to squirm right out of her car seat! Sadie never tried to go anywhere unless she was on the ground. And Sadie is a phenomenal sleeper. She has always slept 12-13 hours straight at night. She never woke up. Still, to this day. Most days I have to wake her up. Sophie is a good sleeper & has been sleeping through the night just as long as Sadie, but she only sleeps about 11 hours. And I have noticed her naps are a little shorter also. I am thinking that her body just requires less sleep. She is still a good sleeper, but she definitely wakes up & plays more than Sadie. Like clockwork, Sophie will go down hard between 8:30 - 9:00 & will sleep like a champ but she wakes up almost every night between 3:00 - 4:00 to play. She never cries, but I watch her on the monitor & she is rolling around, sucking on her toes & talking to herself. After 30 minutes or so, she goes back to sleep & will continue to sleep until it is time to get up, sometime between 7:30 - 8:00. Like I said, I'm not griping because she still sleeps better than most babies her age & she doesn't really wake us up nor do we have to go & check on her, I just think it's funny that she requires less sleep & that she has her own little party in her crib every night :)
I love her busyness. I love that she is so active & happy but not mobile yet :) She loves her play mat, her bumbo seat, her exersaucer & both swings. But most of all, I love to see that smile on her face as she explores:
Even if it's watching her on the monitor at 3:30 in the morning while she has a dance party by herself in her crib :)
She has the prettiest smile, I just love looking at your blog! I can't wait to see everyone next month.
