Bryan & I have had much to be thankful for so we wanted to share our good news. He has officially had 3 chemo treatments & we can already see visible signs that they are working! This past week has actually been one of his strongest - in fact we even went to dinner & a movie last night like a normal couple! He will start round 4 of chemo on Wednesday. We appreciate all of your thoughts & prayers on Bryan's behalf.
In other news, we have something BIG to share with you all, it's actually something really little, but will grow bigger in time. Bryan & I are officially pregnant with our first child! I know, we have been married for 7 years so most of you have been waiting a while for this. We have thoroughly enjoyed our time together & we love being Aunt Shaye & Uncle Bryan, but we are ready to begin the next chapter in our lives together :) The ironic news is that we found out we were pregnant the day after we found out Bryan had cancer - needless to say it has been an emotional few months! Obviously the cancer was not planned but we were planning to expand our family & we were blessed to have it happen so quickly. Obviously God had a plan for our little family!
Here is the first official picture of Baby Dodson:
I know, I know there is not much to see - this was taken at our very first appointment and I was only about 6 weeks pregnant. As of today, I am actually 13 weeks pregnant. We had another Dr. appointment yesterday and everything is going smoothly. We heard a loud & strong heartbeat! We go in for another appointment on Monday & I am hoping to get another picture then.
Thanks again for your support & continued prayers. We still have a long road ahead of us as Bryan will probably have treatment until November/December. But, we have great motivation to get through this as our little one will be due about the time Bryan finishes up treatment. In fact, Bryan says every time he gets poked with a needle he thinks of our baby and that makes everything easier.
With everything happening around the same time, Bryan's treatments and our new baby, we are so thankful we have a lot of family & friends to help us out! Everything you do and will do is so appreciated - We love you all!
Congratulations!! Fantastic news!!
