Cosmic Bowling

Bryan had another great weekend & we kept busy while he was feeling good. Saturday night we went to dinner at Jinbeh, which is a hibachi grill with some of our friends from church. Even though Bryan is not supposed to eat fish or anything raw while he is undergoing treatment, we let him sneak in a sushi roll - don't tell Dr. Rizvi - it's our little secret :)

Here are the guys at their end of the table (sorry - it's a little smoky in the restaurant....)

And here are the girls at our side.....

Afterwards, we went bowling & it was cosmic bowling night! None of us were extremely good, but we had a good time anyway. It was supposed to be girls vs. the boys, but the boys were obviously better so we gave up on the score early on! Here are a few pictures of everyone hanging out:

All of our friends have kiddos so normally when we get together there is a house full, but this time they all got baby sitters so we enjoyed a night out for the adults! We're just sorry Amy & Joel couldn't be there - we missed your guys! I guess that's something Bryan & I will have to get used to since we have been coming & going for 7 years without a worry. Luckily we have plenty of people who have already offered to babysit once our little girl comes.

As for Bryan, he is doing good. He will have his 5th chemo treatment on Wednesday & as you will notice, he still has all of his hair! He got a Neupogen shot last week to help boost his blood counts so that's why he felt good all weekend. Otherwise we wouldn't have been able to make it to the bowling alley - that place is full of germs! He will admit though that he doesn't have the energy he used to because our long night really wore him out & apparently he was sore the next morning! Who knew bowling could be such a workout!
